Tara Borman

200RYT

Tara’s yoga journey began in a highschool gym class. She liked it because she was able to make cool shapes with her body. In her early years as a practitioner, she used yoga as a secondary practice to help build mobility and strength as a rock climber, long distance runner and snowboarder. Over the years, her practice moved beyond the physical body and eventually became a fundamental part of her spiritual, emotional and mental self. Yoga is a refuge for Tara, it has given her a home within herself. She received her first 200 hour certification in Vinyasa in 2021 and then studied with Darren Rhodes and Sam Rice at Yoga Oasis, where she received a 200 hour certification in Hatha yoga in 2023 and an additional training in Yin Yoga with Joe Barnett in 2024. Tara currently teaches at a mental health and addiction inpatient treatment center, using the practice of yoga as a tool for recovery with the patients. Her goal as a guide is to use the asana practice to create sustainability and connection with the body and mind. By using the rhythm of movement with the poses and the breath, she aims to facilitate a deeper connection with the mind and spirit.
