Meet The Team

Ashlee McDougall
Founder + Co-Owner | E500-RYT Ashlee is a lululemon ambassador and started practicing yoga to help her manage the symptoms of a life-threatening lung disease, cystic fibrosis. She found the practice extremely healing, and is now a self-proclaimed yoga nerd. She’s completed more than 1,500 hours of training with expert teachers such as Janet Stone and Jason Crandell. She enjoys studying movement and creating sequences that will help you build strength and mobility, so you can feel as good on the mat as you do off. Ashlee is inspired by Bhakti Yoga and very passionate about offering trauma-aware and inclusive classes.

Catherine Coe | 300RYT
Catherine attended her first yoga class in 2003 and loved it. After years of living a toxic, urban lifestyle, she knew her life had to radically change and started a disciplined vinyasa practice in 2012. She soon discovered that yoga was something well beyond a physical practice and she quit her 15-year binge drinking behavior and started shedding decades of self-loathing and limiting beliefs. In 2013, she sold everything, quit her job, and left the United States to embark upon her self-love spiritual journey throughout Southeast Asia that lasted over 5-years. Within that time, she received 200hr Hatha Yoga, 100hr Yin Yoga, and Reiki level 2 certifications. She learned from various teachers and taught classes, workshops, and retreats for students from around the world in Sri Lanka, Indonesia, India, Thailand, Spain, China, and the United States. She’s been a student for 10 years and a teacher for 7. Catherine’s authentic, from-the-heart teaching blends spiritual and practical teachings to safely invite you to dive deep into your being. In her classes, you’ll be met where you’re at with mindful, breath-centered practices. She’s passionate about holding space for others as she believes yoga is the path to wellness and wholeness, healing, and transformation.

Laura Josephson | 200RYT
Laura first fell in love with yoga in Madison, Wisconsin several years ago – on the coldest mornings of the year, she would bundle up and walk to the studio near her home to warm up and move. Laura’s approach to yoga focuses on a balance between strength and flexibility. Her classes focus on a grounding flow that will help you to build mindfulness and reestablish a connection between your body and the earth.

Jackie Whately
Co-Owner | E500-RYT Jackie has been devoted to the practice of yoga for 20 years and a licensed massage therapist for 16 years. She first came to the practice in her early twenties and enjoyed how the practice complemented strength training. Every time she stepped foot on a mat, the spiritual healing aspects of yoga started to resonate deeper within. She has leaned into this healing to help with confidence, calming the mind, and being more present as a mother and wife. Jackie is an E-RYT 500 and her training is rooted in Ashtanga and Jivamukti lineages. She brings her knowledge of anatomy and enjoys deepening her students’ practice with nurturing hands-on adjustments to each class.

Carol Vare | 200RYT
Carol Vare has had a lifelong love with the practice of Yoga. As a teenager, she followed the asanas (poses) out of a Hatha Yoga Pocket Guide. From there she continued to practice on her own. When more Yoga Studios opened up in the US, she took classes regularly wherever she could. After 45 years of her own practice, Carol finally decided to take Yoga Teacher Training. In her own healing business, she works with many clients and students affected at various levels of trauma, and so has been trained in Trauma Informed Yoga. Carol’s classes are taught with the conscious awareness that anyone can walk into her class who may be dealing with sensitive issues. Comfort and safety are forefronts to the practices she leads. Carol is RYT 200 certified Yoga Teacher. She teaches at retreats, workshops, and in studio. Incorporating the 8 Limbs of Yoga, she enjoys teaching not only the asanas (poses), but mantra, meditation, and pranayama (breath work), and blends the teachings of Yoga Philosophy in each class.

Lily Patton | 200RYT
Lily has a passion for embodied movement. She values offering autonomous space for her students to move in their bodies. Lily got her YTT in Sedona in 2018 through The Devotional School of Yoga. Since, she has been learning how to incorporate authentic physical, emotional, and energetic expressions into every aspect of her life and in doing so, lead others to do the same. In her classes, you can expect these incorporations plus invitations to bring more of yourself forward on and off the mat.

Logan Patrick | 500RYT
Having recently moved to the desert from Portland, Oregon, Logan is beyond excited to be joining the team at Yoga Loft. Logan Patrick is a certified 500-hour advanced yoga teacher, having studied extensively with Kristy Harvey (of Wise Owl Wellness) and Rose Schneider and Leslie Anderson (of Boho Yoga). In addition to studying yoga, Logan also holds a Master's degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences. Logan is passionate about integrating a wide variety of interest areas and fields of study to help people explore wellness in all aspects of their experience. Logan teaches from a diverse and eclectic background while always ensuring that classes are student-centered and trauma-informed. In addition to teaching movement classes, Logan also enjoys teaching and guiding through the more subtle aspects of yoga (including breathwork, meditation, history, and philosophy) and facilitating nature experiences.

Miranda Sheeley | 200RYT
Miranda is a Tucson local with a passion for all things yoga and healing. Since becoming certified to teach yoga in 2018, Miranda aims to honor any reason one steps onto their mat—whether it be to release stale emotions or increase flexibility, Miranda cultivates a safe space for one to physically and emotionally flourish. Her classes will undoubtedly include alignment-based cues, intentional breath-work, dynamic asanas, and her personal favorite, options!

Morgan Carolan | 200RYT
Morgan has been practicing yoga since she was 17 years old. Yoga has been deeply motivating in her own personal journey toward healing trauma. Morgan attended a RYT-200 where her training was rooted in Ashtanga and Iyengar-based lineages. Morgan is a registered nurse, who has recently shifted her focus towards holistic medicine. She prefers to optimize her time with integrative approaches toward healing and care, in which she believes the practice of yoga plays an integral role. In addition, Morgan has also achieved Level 2 Reiki attunement, and is always trying to find the silver lining in any situation. She focuses on mobility, pain management, motivational and restorative techniques throughout her teachings.

Mike Conway| 200RYT
Mike began teaching Yoga in 2016. He felt called to teach as a way to help others. Yoga had helped him so much in his life, and he wanted to pay that forward. He is a 200HR Kripalu Yoga teacher, and has also been practicing and learning Ashtanga Yoga for 5 years. He has also spent much time in Ashrams and Temples immersing himself in the many spiritual traditions of India. Expect to be challenged, yet also encouraged in both mind and body. Mike’s classes will leave you upbeat and energized.

Sorrel Beya | 500RYT
My name is Sorrel and I’m a desert lover and native Tucsonan with a big soft heart. I have my bachelor’s in International Education, but I’ve discovered my real love is yoga. I’ve been practicing yoga asana since 2010 in high school and have my RYT-500 from Rishikesh Yog Dham Yoga School in India. I normally teach vinyasa and hatha style with an emphasis on bhakti yoga. My approach is about being playful, while learning and growing together. I’ve been teaching yoga for over 3 years now and am blessed to continue to learn every day from wonderful teachers. We’re all experiencing different dances with the divine, thus each of our practices will look different, but have an underlying similarity of sweetness.
