AN Accessible Yoga Studio Rooted in Community
Welcome to Yoga Loft, a locally owned and vibrant yoga community located in Tucson, Arizona.
Yoga Loft was born from a dream to create a welcoming space where individuals of all ages, physical abilities, and backgrounds could experience the profound benefits of yoga and mindfulness practices.
Our studio is a place where you can reconnect with your inner self, cultivate physical and mental strength, and create meaningful connections with others.

Yoga Loft Tucson Founders Story
Yoga Loft Tucson was founded and opened in November 2021 when the opportunity arose for Ashlee McDougall. At first, she was cautious of the idea, but she knew if she didn’t leap, the opportunity might not rise again. The problem was that she knew she needed a partner, but her friend and peer, Jackie Whately, was already opening a studio, and she didn’t want to ask anyone else.
After six months in business, Ashlee tried to play it cool when Jackie told her that her plans had fallen through, and she wasn’t opening her studio. Ashlee didn’t play it cool and they’ve been partners ever since!
Since then, Yoga Loft has thrived, expanded, and relocated to our current location in West Tucson.
Ashlee and Jackie have combined their 25 years of teaching experience and shared passion to create a welcoming studio that offers a wide array of yoga classes, workshops, and a yoga teacher training program.
Not only does Ashlee love teaching yoga, but she’s also our marketing director and is the face behind our social media. Ashlee is also passionate about creating an inclusive studio environment because she was born with a lung disease –and a breath-based practice can be challenging for her. She hopes that her input can help make yoga more accessible. That’s why you won’t find any potentially aggravating fragrances or smoke in the studio, and why we’ve invested in state-of-the-art air filtration systems!
Jackie is our lead teacher and runs our yoga teacher training program. She has over 18 years of bodywork experience and with this depth of anatomical knowledge, she is an expert in meeting you where you’re at so you can enjoy an embodied practice. She also enjoys teaching private yoga sessions for those with injuries and other various physical limitations.
Their goal is to create a yoga studio that empowers you to feel at home in your body while honoring the rich traditions of yoga.
